I’m so happy to find someone who had a similar problem!

I recorded a session at another studio (11 simultaneous tracks) and when I got it home my symptoms were identical to yours, except that only a few random files were corrupted. I had already tried the Audacity trick but it didn’t work.

I did discover that all eleven files for any given take had the same header except for 4 characters (right after the word “protools”).

The problem is that when I copy and paste header information, it will play as an audio file but of course will play the wrong audio.

So my dilemma is: how do I figure out the specific individual 4 characters for any given file.

If you can point me in the right direction on this I will revere your esteemed and superior knowledge for all times.

I admit I was resistant to using the map for Thin Line Film Fest this year but after getting in there, I realized that it ain’t so bad…….
It really helped me organize my thoughts and see what everyone else was doing.
Dang it! You were right…….grrrrrr…lol.
